January 16, 2009 - Tales of a teenage nothing

I have my dear friend Michelle to thank for this long-lost piece of art. For the record, I have no idea whats going on here and why I look the like the clown division of Crayola did my lipstick.

Talk about your lanky teenager days... Thank god I outgrew this phase and am the beautiful swan you all know and love now.

September 2, 2008 - Arizona Odyssey

Hillsborough Community College Geology(ish) field trip with the Amazing! Jim Wysong and ER Gammill... This was a formative trip for me deciding to be a geologist plus it carries the extra special tinge of ewy-gooey goodness of being the way Greg and I met... I'll spare the details but it was good ;)

'Ahh!! Sunshine! Shit I cant traverse basaltic rocks, Mandie! Help me!" Anyways, thats how I remember it going down...

Two of these people are still incredibly cool with each other

Greg you look soo dreamy as I drool down your neck! Click for full eyebrow ring goodness...

Old Memories for Posterity I

I'll have to check with the family on this one, but I think this is a 'kids fashion show' at the Showmans' Club in Gibsonton. I look to be about 3-4, dont you just love our outfits, clearly this is the 'country' part of the show.

July 31, 2008 - Cuz Im your cuz, cuz!

Quick stop in Asheville, NC to see my great cuzzin Katie and her husband Tom. Talk about a hip-hippie town. DAMN. Anyways, we apparently have alot of cool ideas about making our own clothes and stuff, so maybe you'll be seeing some hip threads soon!

July 30, 2008 - Get off my cloud!!

Well after a day of *thankfully* uneventful driving, we arrived in Cherokee, NC. I have some rather strong, mixed feelings about Cherokee that Im going to save for a later date but let me just say that I think CASINOS SUCK. Anways, after passing through Cherokee as quickly as possible and getting into the park we drove up to Clingmans Dome and where immediately offended by all the 0ther tourists there and left. Best to just go hiking in the woods... let the masses enjoy their 2,000 meter dome. People on the east coast are so easily impressed by anything they have yet to pave anyways.
